For licensed clinicians who want steady incoming referrals without the platform games, unpaid admin, or someone else dictating your calendar.
You know the intake role. First sessions back to back, new faces every week, the part of the work that runs on a full and reliable stream of referrals. When that stream dries up, or when a platform sets your rate and your hours, the part of the job you are good at starts to feel out of your hands.
Intake therapist jobs that are remote often come with a catch buried in the fine print. Your calendar gets filled for you. The pay starts low and only climbs if you take on more than you want. You spend hours chasing leads or updating a profile that some algorithm decides to show or hide. That is time you are not in session, and it is not paid.
This remote intake therapist role works differently, and the terms are plain. You are a 1099 independent contractor. You set your own schedule, fully, with no one assigning you slots. New client referrals come to you across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware, because the practice handles the paneling and the marketing that bring those clients in.
Credentialing is on us. We handle all insurance paneling and credentialing for you, and we tend to move faster than most practices and faster than doing it alone. That means you get to seeing clients sooner instead of sitting in a queue with insurers for months.
Referrals are steady and there is no cap. If you want a fuller intake caseload, you can take as many referrals as we have available. If you want a lighter week, that works too. There are no session minimums. We do ask that providers aim for around ten clients a week, but it is a preference, not a rule you sign your name to.
The pay is fair and above average for this region. Here is the part that matters most for an intake clinician: the rate is the rate from day one. It does not start low and inch up only if you agree to carry heavy volume. You are not asked to run sliding scale sessions or discount your work. What you earn per session is what you agreed to, whether you see eight clients or eighteen.
All of this is telehealth. You work from home, or wherever you are set up to hold sessions well. Your clients live in NJ, PA, and DE, and your license in any of those states is what qualifies you to see them. We hire fully licensed clinicians only: LPC, LMFT, and LCSW.
What you get back is time and control. The referrals arrive without you fishing for them. The credentialing gets done without you on hold. Your calendar stays yours, and the intake load you carry is the one you actually want.
If you are licensed in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Delaware and this sounds like the way you want to work, send in your application or reach out and we can talk it through first. No pressure either way.
